A research team at Cleveland Clinic has devised and implemented a protocol that greatly increased the efficiency of antibiotic administration for pediatric patients with febrile neutropenia. Meredith Lahl, RN, and her colleagues were able to reduce the average antibiotic administration time from 95 minutes to 15 minutes with their new protocol.
