Intravenous bag
A research team at Cleveland Clinic has devised and implemented a protocol that greatly increased the efficiency of antibiotic administration for pediatric patients with febrile neutropenia. Meredith Lahl, RN, and her colleagues were able to reduce the average antibiotic administration time from 95 minutes to 15 minutes with their new protocol. Lahl discussed these results at the recent APHON 35th Annual Conference and Exhibit. [Read Article] Understanding CLABSIs in pediatric oncology
Central venous

The research revealed that CLABSIs were highly associated with multilumen central venous catheters, neutropenia, and acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). Lauri A. Linder, PhD, APRN, presented this research at the APHON 35th Annual Conference and Exhibit. [Read Article] | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
