HematologyTimes.com™: Our History

For any publication that is dedicated to the practice of hematology, there are few better sources to provide the big-picture direction than Ronald Hoffman, MD. Dr Hoffman was president of the American Society of Hematology in 2003, he is a past editor of Experimental Hematology, he is currently on the Editorial Board of four hematology publications, he has over 350 peer-reviewed publications, and he is the senior editor of the classic textbook, Hematology: Basic Principles and Practice. Dr Hoffman is on staff at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where he leads the Myeloproliferative Disorder Research Consortium. His particular areas of interest include stem cell research and myelofibrosis. You may reach Ron at: rhoffman@HematologyTimes.com.

The concept of HematologyTimes first began in 1980 when our publisher, Jonathan Wood, was editor of Oncology Times, a multisponsor medical newspaper for oncologists, currently published by Lippincott. At the time, the idea was to have a publication as equally dedicated to hematology as Oncology Times was to oncology. HematologyTimes has subsequently morphed into today’s technology and is an interactive, online publication with many tools designed to help the busy, practicing hematologist.

HematologyTimes.com™ has a dedicated staff of very experienced professionals with hematology and oncology backgrounds that include laboratory science, biotechnology companies, continuing medical education project management, and publishing. We would welcome any suggestions you may have to help improve the service we provide.
